Lorely Burt lent a hand to Caroline Bateman and John Hayes on early morning duty at Solihull Sorting Office.
Solihull's MP, Lorely Burt paid an early Christmas visit to Solihull Sorting Office last week to thank scores of postmen and women who will be delivering sack loads of extra Christmas mail again this year.
Mrs Burt met and talked with the staff who will sort and deliver thousands of extra greetings cards and presents in time for the Christmas holiday.
"All the staff do a fantastic job to cope with the extra workload, but they still end up with so many undeliverable cards and presents because the address is not complete," said Lorely.
"It's always good to send a greeting to old friends, but please make sure it gets to the right person on time by completing the address with the postcode to ensure the Post Office deliver your card."
