Tenbury's Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate, Richard Burt is calling for co-ordinated action from all the agencies to tackle flooding problems for local people.
"People are just bewildered by all the agencies involved. No-one seems to take overall responsibility and nothing seems to get done," said Richard
"After last year's floods it took a year to start building a wall and the same inadequate drains that caused half last year's flooding overloaded again this month. Who is finally going to take responsibility for putting in culverts that can cope with the flow of water running down into the town?
"The Environment Agency has dried up on flood defences, the County Council hasn't fixed the drains or finished building the wall, and the District Council slaps on extra car parking charges when what we need is a parking charges and business rates holiday to get people back into the town and businesses back on their feet.
"It seems that other priorities always seem to take precedence when it comes to Tenbury.
"Why can't they all get round a table and talk to local people about what needs doing?"
