Richard BurtPershore's County Councillor, Liz Tucker has collected nearly 1000 written responses to a Resident's Survey carried out in the town over the past two months. Now she and Lib Dem parliamentary candidate Richard Burt have organised an open meeting to report back on the findings and discuss residents' views.

The meeting will take place in the Town Hall on Monday 27th October, starting at 7.30pm

Liz and her team have knocked on over 3000 doors in the town since starting in August and have received a massive response, with nearly 1000 surveys already returned. More responses are coming in daily.

Liz says "I'd like to thank everyone in the town who has taken part in our survey. We wanted to find out what people in the town really thought about local issues, so as to give me and Richard the chance to tackle the things that matter to people most.

"The response has been overwhelming. With the total returned now nearing the 1000 mark, it has been a huge task to analyse all the comments."

"We have invited everyone who completed the survey to come along to the presentation and discussion at the Town Hall."

"Residents can hear the results and have their say on NHS services, the proposed South Worcestershire housing expansion, Pershore High Street, roads, parking and many ideas on how to make Pershore a better place to live in."

Richard Burt said:

"I am delighted that GPs from both the town's surgeries, Pershore Medical Practice and Abbotswood, have accepted my invitation to be on hand at the meeting to discuss residents concerns first hand. They will answer queries on GP dispensing, out of hours and weekend GP services and other issues raised by residents.

Richard has also contacted Health Trust bosses over other NHS issues raised by residents and will report back at the meeting.

"Everyone is welcome - you don't have to have completed a survey to attend," added Richard.
